What it does
These tools search the ENABLE word list, about 172,000 English words in the public domain and the list behind many word games, in your browser. Common words, from the Wiktionary frequency lists, are shown first and in bold; rare ones are still valid in most games. Offensive words have been removed.

Frequently asked questions
Which words are included?
The ENABLE list, about 172,000 English words in the public domain that many word games accept, without offensive words. Words in bold are common in everyday English; the rest are valid but rare, such as plurals of unusual nouns.
What is the difference between contains and must include?
Contains looks for the letters together and in order: ph finds phone and graph. Must include only needs each letter somewhere in the word: p and h also find path and hope.
Why do some lists stop before the end?
To keep the page fast, at most 1,500 words are shown. Add a filter, choose a length or tick common words only to see the rest.
