What it does
Brightness makes the whole image lighter or darker, contrast pushes the light and dark tones apart, saturation makes the colours more vivid or turns them grey, and sharpness makes edges crisper. Move the sliders, compare with the original and download the photo in the same format.
Everything happens in your browser: the image is opened, changed on a canvas and saved again on your device, and nothing is uploaded. Photos from phones that are stored sideways with an orientation tag are turned the right way first, so what you see is what you get.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is processed by your browser on your own device and never leaves it, which also makes the tool work offline once the page has loaded.
How do I fix a dark photo?
Raise the brightness a little, then add some contrast so it does not look washed out. Small steps of 10 to 20 usually look more natural than large ones.
Can I turn a photo black and white here?
Yes: set saturation to −100. For a high-contrast look, also raise the contrast.
