What it does
Most Indian universities and boards require at least 75% attendance to sit the exams. The percentage is classes attended divided by classes held. To stay above the limit you can miss classes only while attended ÷ (held + missed) stays at 75% or more; if you are below, every class you attend raises both numbers, so it takes more classes to recover than it took to fall.
How to use it
- Enter how many classes you attended and how many were held.
- Set the required attendance; 75% is the most common rule.
- Read how many classes you can miss or must attend; add classes per day to see it in days.
The arithmetic runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere and nothing is stored, so you can use these with real numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Is 75% attendance compulsory?
For most universities and many school boards, yes: students below 75% can be barred from the exams, with some relief for medical reasons. Check your institution’s rules, as some ask for more.
Why does it take so long to recover?
Because each class you attend also adds one to the total. Going from 40 of 60 (66.7%) to 75% takes 20 classes in a row, not 5.
