Click Speed Test (CPS)
Measure how many clicks per second you can make in 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds, with your mouse, touchscreen or spacebar, and beat your personal best.
What it does
This test counts how many times you click in a fixed time and divides by the seconds to give your clicks per second (CPS). The timer starts with your first click. At the end you see your result, the best single second and a chart of the clicks in each second, and your best score for each duration is saved in this browser. It works with a mouse, a touchpad, a touchscreen, where every finger counts, or the spacebar.
How to use it
- Choose how long the test lasts.
- Click in the area as fast as you can: the time starts with the first click.
- See your clicks per second and try to beat your record.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good CPS?
Clicking normally, most people manage around 5 to 8 clicks per second. Techniques used by gamers, such as jitter clicking or butterfly clicking with two fingers, can go beyond 10.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. On a touchscreen every tap counts, including taps with several fingers at the same time.
Why is my CPS lower in longer tests?
Short tests measure your top speed; in longer tests your hand gets tired and the average falls. That is why the best score is kept separately for each duration.
