EXIF Viewer: See Photo Metadata and Location
See the EXIF data of a photo in your browser: camera, lens, date, exposure, ISO and the GPS location on a map, before you share it. JPG, PNG, WebP and TIFF.
What it does
Cameras and phones save information inside every photo: the make and model, the lens, the date and time, the exposure settings and often the GPS position. This tool reads that EXIF data in your browser and shows the main facts in a summary, the location on a map and every field in a table, without uploading the photo anywhere.
How to use it
- Choose a photo (JPG, PNG, WebP or TIFF).
- Read the summary, the location and the full list of fields.
- To share the photo without this data, remove it with the EXIF remover.
Frequently asked questions
Does my photo show where I took it?
If location was on in the camera app, yes: the latitude and longitude are saved to a few metres. The summary shows them with a link to the map.
Why does my photo have no EXIF data?
WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and many editors remove EXIF when they save or send a photo, and screenshots never have it. The original file from the camera usually does.
Is the photo uploaded to read the EXIF?
No. The bytes of the file are read in your browser, so the photo and its location stay on your device.
