What it does

This generator creates invoices, receipts and quotes ready to send. Fill in your details and the client's, add the items with quantity, price, discount and tax, and the totals are calculated as you type, in the currency and number format of your country. You can add your logo, choose a colour and paper size, and download the document as PDF, with the right fonts for any language, or as a Word file to edit later. Your details stay saved in this browser, and new document increases the number for the next one.

How to use it

  1. Fill in your details, the client's, the number and the dates.
  2. Add the items: description, quantity, unit price and, if needed, discount and tax.
  3. Check the totals and download the PDF or the Word file.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a valid invoice?
It depends on the country. In many places freelancers and small businesses can issue invoices like this one. Where the law requires electronic invoices issued through an official system, as in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Italy, use that system for tax purposes and this tool for quotes, receipts and pro forma invoices.

Are my details stored anywhere?
Only in this browser, so you don't have to type them again next time. Nothing is sent to our servers. Clear everything removes them.

How are taxes calculated?
Prices are entered before tax. The tax is added up for each rate over the sum of the items with that rate, after their discounts, and rounded at the end, as most tax rules require.

Can I edit the document afterwards?
Yes. Download it as Word (.docx) and open it in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs, or simply change the fields here and download it again.
