TXT to PDF Converter

Convert a text file (.txt) or pasted text to PDF in your browser, with the font, size, margins and page size you choose. Long lines wrap automatically. Free.

The file is read by your browser and is not sent anywhere. No upload, no storage.

What it does

This tool lays out plain text on PDF pages in your browser: it wraps long lines at the margins, keeps your line breaks and blank lines, turns tabs into spaces and starts a new page when one is full. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic text is embedded as real, searchable text with an open font similar to Arial, Times or Courier.

How to use it

  1. Open a .txt file or paste the text.
  2. Choose the font, the size, the margins and the page size.
  3. Click Convert to PDF and download the file.

Frequently asked questions

Which font should I use for code or logs?
The monospaced font: every character has the same width, so columns, tables made of spaces and indentation line up as in the original file.

Why do some characters look different in the text file?
Old text files may be saved in Windows-1252 instead of UTF-8. The tool detects UTF-8, UTF-16 and Windows-1252, so accents such as é and ç come out right.

How many lines fit on a page?
With 11 pt text and 20 mm margins, an A4 page holds 52 lines; a smaller size or narrower margins fit more.
