Binary to Text Translator
Convert binary code to readable text or text to binary. Enter binary numbers separated by spaces (e.g. 01000101 01111000 01100001 01101101 01110000 01101100 01100101 = "Example") and press Convert, or use the Swap button to reverse the direction.
About Binary to Text
In computing, binary code represents text and data as sequences of 0s and 1s. Each character is encoded as an 8-bit binary number (a byte) according to a character encoding standard. ASCII covers 128 characters (codes 0–127) using 7 bits. UTF-8 is backward-compatible with ASCII and supports over a million Unicode characters using 1 to 4 bytes per character. Other encodings like ISO-8859 and Windows-125x handle regional characters for European, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew and other scripts.
How to convert Binary to Text
- Get binary byte (8 bits group, e.g. 01000001).
- Convert each 8-bit binary number to its decimal equivalent.
- Look up the character in the ASCII table using the decimal code.
- Repeat for each binary byte to get the full text.
Example:
01010000 01101100 01100001 01101110 01110100 00100000 01110100 01110010 01100101 01100101 01110011 = "Plant trees"
