CD (80 Minute)
An 80-minute compact disc is an extended-capacity variant of the standard CD, holding up to 80 minutes of audio or approximately 700 megabytes of data. Achieved by increasing the disc's track density and writing closer to the inner and outer edges, it became the most commonly sold blank CD-R format from the late 1990s onward. The 700 MB capacity made it a popular medium for software distribution and personal data backup.
Bit
A bit (binary digit) is the most basic unit of digital information, representing a logical state with one of two possible values: 0 or 1. The term was coined by statistician John Tukey in 1946 and popularized by Claude Shannon in his foundational work on information theory. Eight bits form one byte, the standard unit of computer storage.
