Jaz Disk (2 GB)
The Jaz 2GB is the second-generation removable hard disk cartridge from Iomega, doubling the capacity of the original Jaz 1GB to approximately 2 gigabytes. Released in 1998, it offered backward read compatibility with 1 GB cartridges and targeted professional users needing portable high-capacity storage. The Jaz line was eventually discontinued as CD-RW and DVD media became more affordable and widespread.
Bit
A bit (binary digit) is the most basic unit of digital information, representing a logical state with one of two possible values: 0 or 1. The term was coined by statistician John Tukey in 1946 and popularized by Claude Shannon in his foundational work on information theory. Eight bits form one byte, the standard unit of computer storage.
