Zip Disk (250 MB)

The Zip 250 is a higher-capacity version of the Iomega Zip removable magnetic disk, holding approximately 250 megabytes of data. Released in 1998 as an upgrade to the original 100 MB Zip disk, it maintained backward read compatibility with Zip 100 disks. The Zip 250 competed with other high-capacity removable media formats such as the LS-120 SuperDisk.

Bit

A bit (binary digit) is the most basic unit of digital information, representing a logical state with one of two possible values: 0 or 1. The term was coined by statistician John Tukey in 1946 and popularized by Claude Shannon in his foundational work on information theory. Eight bits form one byte, the standard unit of computer storage.
