Das Centistokes (cSt) ist die in der Industrie am häufigsten verwendete Einheit der kinematischen Viskosität und entspricht 10⁻² St bzw. 10⁻⁶ m²/s. Wasser hat bei 20 °C eine kinematische Viskosität von etwa 1 cSt. Motorölklassen (z. B. SAE 10W-30) werden über ihre Viskosität in Centistokes definiert.
