Stokes

The stokes (St) is the CGS unit of kinematic viscosity, named after Sir George Gabriel Stokes. One stokes equals one square centimetre per second (1 cm²/s = 10⁻⁴ m²/s). Water at 20°C has a kinematic viscosity of about 0.01 St (1 centistoke).

Square Meter/Second

The square metre per second (m²/s) is the SI unit of kinematic viscosity, defined as dynamic viscosity divided by density. It measures how readily a fluid flows under gravity. Water has a kinematic viscosity of approximately 10⁻⁶ m²/s (1 cSt) at 20°C.
