Bit

A bit (binary digit) is the most basic unit of digital information, representing a logical state with one of two possible values: 0 or 1. The term was coined by statistician John Tukey in 1946 and popularized by Claude Shannon in his foundational work on information theory. Eight bits form one byte, the standard unit of computer storage.

Zip Disk (100 MB)

The Zip 100 is a removable magnetic storage disk developed by Iomega, holding approximately 100 megabytes of data. Introduced in 1994, it offered roughly 70 times the capacity of a standard 1.44 MB floppy disk and was widely adopted as a backup and file-transfer medium in the late 1990s. The Zip format was later superseded by optical media and USB flash drives.
