Mikropascal
The <b>micropascal</b> (symbol: µPa) is a unit of pressure equal to <b>10⁻⁶ pascals</b>, formed by applying the SI prefix <i>micro-</i> to the pascal. It is the standard reference level for <b>underwater acoustics</b>, where sound pressure levels are referenced to 1 µPa. The micropascal is also used in precision seismology and infrasound research.
