Nanopascal

The nanopascal (symbol: nPa) is a unit of pressure equal to 10⁻⁹ pascals, formed by applying the SI prefix nano- to the pascal. It is used in ultra-high vacuum science and space physics to describe extremely tenuous gas pressures. The solar wind, for example, exerts a dynamic pressure on the order of nanopascals at Earth's distance from the Sun.

Pascal

The pascal (Pa) is the SI derived unit of pressure, defined as one newton per square metre (N/m²). It was adopted by the General Conference on Weights and Measures in 1971 and named after the French mathematician and physicist Blaise Pascal. Standard atmospheric pressure is approximately 101,325 Pa, and it is widely used in science, engineering, and meteorology.
