League (Statute)

La statute league (symbol: st.league) est une unité de length égal à three statute miles, or exactement 4,828.032 metres. Il était the standard land league utilisé en English-speaking countries and is basé sur the statute mile of 5,280 feet. The statute league has been largely obsolete in official usage since the 19th century but survives in historical texts and certain legal descriptions.
