Millinewton
The millinewton (mN) is a unit of force equal to one thousandth of a newton (10−3 N). It is used in precision engineering, materials testing, and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) where forces are small but larger than those expressed in micronewtons. One mN is approximately equal to 0.224809 pounds-force × 10−3, or roughly the weight of 0.1 grams under standard gravity. It follows the standard SI prefix "milli-" for 10−3.
