Frequently asked questions
How accurate is this metronome?
Each click is scheduled on the Web Audio clock about a tenth of a second in advance, the method used by music apps, so the timing does not depend on the screen or on other work the page is doing.
What do Largo, Andante and Allegro mean?
They are Italian tempo markings: Largo is very slow (around 40–60 BPM), Andante is a walking pace (around 76–108) and Allegro is fast (around 120–168). The name of the current tempo is shown next to the number.
How does tap tempo work?
Tap the button in time with the music at least twice: the tempo is the average of the last taps. If you stop for more than two seconds, the count starts again.
