PowerPoint to PDF
Convert PowerPoint presentations (.pptx) to PDF for free in your browser: one page per slide with layouts, themes, shapes, images and tables kept.
What it does
Each slide becomes one page of the PDF, at the size of the slide (16:9 or 4:3). The converter follows the slide layouts and the master, so titles, bullet points, numbering, fonts and colours of the theme come out as in PowerPoint, together with shapes and their gradients, rotated shapes, pictures (also cropped ones), tables and backgrounds.
How to use it
- Choose the .pptx file, or drag it onto the box.
- If you want, tick "Include hidden slides".
- Click "Convert to PDF", then open or download the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Are animations and transitions kept?
No, a PDF is static: each slide is printed as it looks at the end of its animations, with every element visible. Speaker notes are not included either.
Are charts and SmartArt included?
Not yet. Shapes, pictures and tables are drawn, but charts and SmartArt graphics are left out, and the page tells you how many there were. To keep one, right-click it in PowerPoint, save it as a picture and put the picture on the slide.
Will the fonts look the same?
Calibri, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New are replaced by free fonts with exactly the same letter widths, so lines break in the same places. Calibri Light titles use the same free font adjusted to the narrower width. Other fonts are replaced by the closest of these.
Are hidden slides converted?
Only if you tick "Include hidden slides". By default the PDF has the slides that appear in the slide show, as PowerPoint does when it saves a PDF.
Is my presentation uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted in your browser; nothing is sent to a server, which also makes it safe for confidential presentations.
