Ugandan Shilling
The Ugandan shilling is the official currency of Uganda, a landlocked country in East Africa. The second shilling was introduced in 1987, replacing the first shilling at a rate of 1 new to 100 old shillings, as part of economic reforms. It is issued by the Bank of Uganda and, unlike many other shilling currencies, is not subdivided into smaller units as the subunit (cent) has been phased out due to inflation.
