Belarusian Ruble
The Belarusian Ruble (sign: Br; code: BYN) is the official currency of Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The current ruble was introduced in 2016, replacing the previous ruble at a rate of 10,000 old rubles per new ruble, as part of a redenomination to simplify transactions. Belarus has maintained close economic ties with Russia, and the ruble's exchange rate has historically been managed within a floating band.
