The famn is a traditional Swedish satuan panjang roughly equivalent to the fathom, sama dengan kira-kira 1.7814 meters (about 5.84 feet), or 3 alnar. Like the fathom in English-speaking countries, it was based on the span of outstretched arms and was used for measuring depth, rope, and land. It was part of the pre-metric Swedish measurement system.
