A kiloparsec (simbol: kpc) adalah satuan dari length sama dengan one thousand parsecs, or kira-kira 3.086×10¹⁹ metres (about 3,260 light-years). It is widely used in galactic astronomy to describe distances within and between galaxies; for instance, the Sun lies roughly 8 kiloparsecs from the centre of the Milky Way. The kiloparsec is a non-SI unit accepted for use in astronomy by the International Astronomical Union.
