Mile (Statute)
The statute mile (simbol: mi) adalah satuan dari length sama dengan exactly 1,609.344 metres, defined by international agreement in 1959. It consists of 5,280 feet or 1,760 yards, and is the standard mile used in the United States and the United Kingdom for road distances and everyday measurement. The statute mile descends from the Roman mille passuum (thousand paces) via the English customary system.
