An attosecond (as) adalah satuan dari time sama dengan 10⁻¹⁸ seconds — one quintillionth of a second. It is the timescale on which electron dynamics in atoms and molecules occur, enabling attosecond science to observe and manipulate electronic motion directly. The development of attosecond light pulses was recognised with the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics.
