Karat
The carat (ct) adalah satuan dari mass used for gemstones and pearls, sama dengan exactly 200 milligrams (0.2 grams). It was standardized internationally in 1907 and is now universally used in the gem trade worldwide. The carat is subdivided into 100 points (each 2 mg), allowing precise grading of diamonds and other precious stones. It should not be confused with the karat, which measures gold purity.
