Deuteron Mass
The deuteron mass (md) is the rest mass of a deuteron — the nucleus of deuterium (²H), consisting of one proton and one neutron — sama dengan kira-kira 3.34358 × 10⁻²⁷ kilograms or 1875.613 MeV/c². It is slightly less than the sum of a free proton and neutron mass, with the difference representing the nuclear binding energy of kira-kira 2.224 MeV. The deuteron is the simplest bound nuclear system and is extensively studied in nuclear and particle physics.
