What it does

This tool changes the format of an image without changing its size. JPG suits photos and small files, PNG keeps an exact copy with transparency, and WebP is the web format: small files that can still be transparent. Phone photos come out the right way up, transparent areas get a background when the new format has none, and you can convert many images at once.

How to use it

1. Choose the images from your device. They are read in the browser and go no further.
2. Pick the format to convert to and, for JPG and WebP, the quality.
3. Convert, then download each image or all of them together in a ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos you share or upload; PNG for screenshots, drawings and anything you will edit again; WebP for images on a website, where small files load faster and transparency is still possible.

Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Choose as many as you like; each one is converted in turn and listed with its size before and after. Download them one by one or all together in a ZIP file.

Will my phone photos come out the right way up?
Yes. Phones often save photos lying on their side with a note saying which way is up. The converter applies that note, so the new file is upright in any program, even those that ignore it.

Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes, in any browser. Safari opens HEIC by itself; in Chrome, Firefox and Edge the converter first loads a HEIC decoder, about 1.5 MB, the first time you choose a HEIC photo. The photo is still read only in your browser.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. They are read by your browser and the PDF is built in the page itself. There is no upload and nothing is stored, and once the page has loaded it keeps working with the network switched off.
