Hartree Energy
La hartree (simbolo: Eh) è the atomic unit di energia, uguale a circa 4.3597 × 10⁻¹⁸ joules (27.211 eV). It represents twice the ionisation energy of a hydrogen atom in its ground state e è the natural energy unit of atomic e molecular physics calculations. The hartree è chiamato after Douglas Hartree, pioneer of the self-consistent field method in quantum chemistry.

La joule (/dʒaʊ,dʒuːljawl, jool; simbolo: J) è a unità derivata di energia in il Sistema Internazionale di Unità. It è uguale a the energy transferred to (or work done on) an object when a force of one newton acts on that object in the direction of the force's motion through a distance of one metre (1 newton metre o N⋅m). It è also the energy dissipated as heat when an electric current of one ampere passes through a resistance of one ohm for one second. Prende il nome da the English physicist James Prescott Joule (1818–1889).
