Rydberg Energy
La Rydberg energy (simbolo: Ry) è un'unità di energia uguale a half a hartree, circa 2.1799 × 10⁻¹⁸ joules (13.606 eV). It corrisponde a the binding energy of the electron in the ground state of the hydrogen atom e arises naturally from the Rydberg constant usato in atomic spectroscopy. The Rydberg energy è the standard energy unit in condensed matter physics e solid-state electronic structure calculations.
