Long Reed (Biblical)

La long reed è a biblical unit di lunghezza uguale a 7 long cubits, circa 4.06 meters (about 13.3 feet), as described in the Book of Ezekiel. It era usato in ancient Israel for measuring architectural e land dimensions in prophetic visions of the Temple. The long reed represents one of the larger units in the ancient Hebrew measurement system.

In 1960, the metre era redefined in terms of a certain number of wavelengths of a certain emission line of krypton-86. In 1983, the current definition era adopted.
