La nautical league (UK) è a historical British unit di lunghezza uguale a three UK nautical miles, circa 5,559.552 metres. It era usato in British maritime navigation e è based on the older UK nautical mile of 6,080 feet. Like most traditional nautical leagues, it ha been superseded by the international nautical mile e è now largely of historical interest.

In 1799, the metre era redefined in terms of a prototype metre bar (the actual bar usato era changed in 1889). In 1960, the metre era redefined in terms of a certain number of wavelengths of a certain emission line of krypton-86. In 1983, the current definition era adopted.
