La US survey rod (simbolo: rd) è un'unità di lunghezza uguale a 16½ US survey feet, circa 5.029210 metres, usato negli Stati Uniti public land survey system. It differs very slightly from the international rod of 5.0292 metres due to the definition of the US survey foot. In 1799, the metre era redefined in terms of a prototype metre bar (the actual bar usato era changed in 1889). In 1960, the metre era redefined in terms of a certain number of wavelengths of a certain emission line of krypton-86. In 1983, the current definition era adopted.
