    Frequently asked questions

How long should a title and a meta description be?
Google does not publish a limit and cuts by width, not by characters. On desktop, titles over about 600 pixels (around 55 to 60 characters) and descriptions over about 920 pixels (around 155 to 160 characters) are usually shortened. Google may also rewrite them based on the search.

    Do meta keywords still matter?
No. Google has ignored the keywords meta tag for ranking for many years, so this tool does not generate it. The title and the description are what appear in the results.

    What is a canonical link?
It tells search engines which address is the main one when the same page can be opened at several URLs, for example with and without tracking parameters. Use the full address, starting with https://.
