Terapascal

The terapascal (symbol: TPa) is a unit of pressure equal to 10¹² pascals, formed by applying the SI prefix tera- to the pascal. Pressures in this range are studied in extreme high-pressure physics, including the behaviour of materials under conditions found in planetary interiors. Diamond has a bulk modulus of roughly 0.44 TPa, giving a sense of the scale.

Pascal

The pascal (Pa) is the SI derived unit of pressure, defined as one newton per square metre (N/m²). It was adopted by the General Conference on Weights and Measures in 1971 and named after the French mathematician and physicist Blaise Pascal. Standard atmospheric pressure is approximately 101,325 Pa, and it is widely used in science, engineering, and meteorology.
