Frequently asked questions
Is a typed signature legally valid?
In many countries an electronic signature can be any mark you adopt with the intent to sign, including a typed name in a script font, but the rules differ by country and by document. When a contract requires a qualified or certificate-based digital signature, an image is not enough.
Why does the background look checkered?
The checkerboard means the background is transparent: only the ink is saved, so the signature sits on any document without a white box around it. Choose a white background if you need one.
Some styles disappeared when I typed my name. Why?
A style is only shown when its font has every letter of your name. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil, Thai and Cyrillic names have their own handwriting styles; for other alphabets the page uses your device's handwriting font.
