Kilogram-force

The kilogram-force ( kgf or kg F ), or kilopond ( kp , from Latin: pondus , lit. 'weight'), is a gravitational metric unit of force. It is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s 2 gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). Therefore, one kilogram-force is by definition equal to 9.806 65 N. Similarly, a gram-force is 9.806 65 mN, and a milligram-force is 9.806 65 μN.

Milligram

A milligram na unit of weight and mass that is based on the SI (International System of Units (SI)) base unit of mass, the kilogram. It is equal to 1/1,000 grams, or 1/1,000,000 kilograms.
