Kilogram-force

The kilogram-force ( kgf or kg F ), or kilopond ( kp , from Latin: pondus , lit. 'weight'), is a gravitational metric unit of force. It is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s 2 gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). Therefore, one kilogram-force is by definition equal to 9.806 65 N. Similarly, a gram-force is 9.806 65 mN, and a milligram-force is 9.806 65 μN.

Ton (Metric)

The metric ton or tonne (t) is a unit of mass in the metric system equal to 1,000 kilograms (approximately 2,204.62 avoirdupois pounds). It is not an SI unit but is accepted for use with SI and is widely employed in international trade, science, and industry. The tonne is defined in the International System of Units as a non-SI unit whose value in SI units is obtained experimentally.
