Picogram

The picogram (pg) is a unit of mass equal to one-trillionth of a gram (10⁻¹² g), derived by applying the SI prefix pico- to the gram. It is used in molecular biology, genomics, and clinical laboratory science to measure trace quantities of biological molecules. For reference, a single human cell contains approximately 6–7 picograms of DNA.

Kilogram-force

The kilogram-force ( kgf or kg F ), or kilopond ( kp , from Latin: pondus , lit. 'weight'), is a gravitational metric unit of force. It is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s 2 gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). Therefore, one kilogram-force is by definition equal to 9.806 65 N. Similarly, a gram-force is 9.806 65 mN, and a milligram-force is 9.806 65 μN.
