Proton Mass

The proton mass (mp) is the rest mass of a proton, equal to approximately 1.67262 × 10⁻²⁷ kilograms or 938.272 MeV/c². It is approximately 1,836 times greater than the electron rest mass and is close to, but slightly less than, the neutron mass. The proton mass is a fundamental constant in nuclear and particle physics and plays a central role in determining atomic masses and nuclear binding energies. 


Kilogram-force

The kilogram-force ( kgf or kg F ), or kilopond ( kp , from Latin: pondus , lit. 'weight'), is a gravitational metric unit of force. It is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s 2 gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). Therefore, one kilogram-force is by definition equal to 9.806 65 N. Similarly, a gram-force is 9.806 65 mN, and a milligram-force is 9.806 65 μN.
