Convert slug to kg
Slug
The slug is a unit of mass in the foot-pound-second (FPS) system of units, defined as the mass that accelerates at 1 foot per second squared when a force of one pound-force (lbf) is applied to it. One slug is equal to approximately 14.5939 kilograms or 32.174 pounds-mass. It is used primarily in aerospace and mechanical engineering contexts in the United States where the FPS system is employed.
Kilogram-force
The kilogram-force ( kgf or kg F ), or kilopond ( kp , from Latin: pondus , lit. 'weight'), is a gravitational metric unit of force. It is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s 2 gravitational field (standard gravity, a conventional value approximating the average magnitude of gravity on Earth). Therefore, one kilogram-force is by definition equal to 9.806 65 N. Similarly, a gram-force is 9.806 65 mN, and a milligram-force is 9.806 65 μN.
