Resize PDF: Change Page Size to A4, Letter or Custom

Change the page size of a PDF to A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or a custom size, fitting or filling each page, with margins. Free, in your browser.

The file is read by your browser and is not sent anywhere. No upload, no storage.

What it does

This tool puts every page of a PDF on a new page of the size you choose, such as turning US Letter into A4 for printing in Europe. The content stays sharp because it is scaled as vectors, not turned into an image: it is shrunk or enlarged to fit, centred, and you can add a margin.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Choose the new size, the orientation, whether to fit or fill, and the margin.
  3. Click Resize PDF and download the new file.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change a PDF from Letter to A4?
Choose A4 and Fit the whole page. A Letter page (216 × 279 mm) is shrunk by about 3% to fit the width of A4 and centred, with a thin white band at the top and bottom.

Will the text stay sharp and selectable?
Yes. Each page is placed on the new one as vectors, so text stays text and prints at full quality. Links, bookmarks and form fields are not carried over.

What is the difference between fit and fill?
Fit keeps the whole page and leaves white space if the proportions differ. Fill covers the new page completely and cuts what sticks out at the edges.
