What it does
Rounded corners give pictures a softer, app-like look for profiles, slides and websites. This tool clips the corners in your browser and saves a PNG, so the corners are transparent on any background. At 50% a square image becomes a circle.
Everything happens in your browser: the image is opened, changed on a canvas and saved again on your device, and nothing is uploaded. Photos from phones that are stored sideways with an orientation tag are turned the right way first, so what you see is what you get.
How to use it
- Choose an image from your device, or drag it onto the page.
- Adjust the options and check the result in the preview.
- Download the new image; the original file is not changed.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is processed by your browser on your own device and never leaves it, which also makes the tool work offline once the page has loaded.
Why is the result a PNG?
Because JPEG has no transparency: the corners would come out white. A PNG keeps them transparent, so the image sits cleanly on any colour.
What radius should I use?
5% to 10% gives the soft corners of app icons and cards; 20% is clearly rounded; 50% turns a square into a circle and other shapes into a pill.
