Screen Recorder
Free online screen recorder: record your screen, a window or a browser tab with system audio and microphone, and save MP4 or WebM. No install, no watermark.
What it does
This page records your screen with the browser's own screen capture: the whole screen, a single window or one browser tab. It can include the sound of the tab or the system and your microphone, mixed into one track. The video is saved as MP4 where the browser supports it, or WebM, with no watermark and no time limit other than your disk space.
How to use it
- Choose the format and quality, and tick system audio or microphone if you want sound.
- Click Start recording and pick what to share: screen, window or tab. To capture sound, choose a tab or tick "Share audio" in the browser dialog.
- Click Stop (or "Stop sharing" in the browser bar), check the preview and download the video.
Frequently asked questions
Is the video uploaded to a server?
No. Recording and saving happen entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server.
Why is there no sound from my computer?
Browsers only capture audio when the browser dialog offers it: Chrome and Edge share the sound of a tab, and on Windows also the whole system. macOS does not let browsers capture system audio, so record a tab instead or use the microphone.
MP4 or WebM?
MP4 plays everywhere, including iPhone and video editors. Recent Chrome, Edge and Safari can record it directly; Firefox records WebM, which plays in browsers, VLC and YouTube uploads.
Is there a time limit?
No. The limit is the memory of your computer: at medium quality one minute takes about 40 MB. For long recordings, choose low quality or 15 FPS.
Can I record on my phone?
No. Mobile browsers do not allow a web page to capture the screen. Use the built-in screen recording of Android or iOS instead.
