The joule mỗi mét (J/m) is a đơn vị dẫn xuất của force, dimensionally equivalent to the newton (N), since force equals energy divided by distance. One J/m is therefore exactly bằng one newton. This representation naturally emerges in physics when describing the relationship between potential energy gradients and force, such as in conservative force fields.
