Ephah (Biblical)
The ephah is an ancient Hebrew unit of dry volume mentioned extensively in the Hebrew Bible, estimated to equal approximately 22 litres (though estimates range from 20 to 45 L depending on the era and source). It was the standard dry measure for grain, flour, and similar commodities in ancient Israel and the broader Near East. The ephah equals ten omers or three seahs.
Liter
The litre (British and Commonwealth spelling) or liter (American spelling) (SI symbols L and l, other symbol used: ℓ) is a non-SI unit of volume. It is equal to 1 cubic decimetre (dm 3), 1000 cubic centimetres (cm 3) or 0.001 cubic metre. A cubic decimetre (or litre) occupies a volume of 10 cm × 10 cm × 10 cm (see figure) and is thus equal to one-thousandth of a cubic metre.
