Homer (Biblical)
The homer (Hebrew: homer) was a biblical unit of dry measure equivalent to one donkey-load, estimated at approximately 220 liters and equal to 10 ephahs. It is referenced in the Old Testament (e.g., Leviticus 27:16) as the largest unit of grain measurement and is identical in capacity to the liquid cor.
Liter
The litre (British and Commonwealth spelling) or liter (American spelling) (SI symbols L and l, other symbol used: ℓ) is a non-SI unit of volume. It is equal to 1 cubic decimetre (dm 3), 1000 cubic centimetres (cm 3) or 0.001 cubic metre. A cubic decimetre (or litre) occupies a volume of 10 cm × 10 cm × 10 cm (see figure) and is thus equal to one-thousandth of a cubic metre.
